Ostrava Women

The club was founded on 14 May 1952, which makes it one of the older women's volleyball sides in the country, though it only reached the Extraliga žen in 2003.

Home games are played at the Hala míčových sportů, a hall that seats 500. In Czech media the players are simply the Ostravanky.

A second final followed in 2023, lost to VK Královo Pole Brno. Ostrava has never gone further than fourth place in the league itself, in 2001/02 and again in 2014/15. The 2025/26 season brought the club's first entry into a European competition, the CEV Challenge Cup.

The name still surfaces in the junior game: Ivana Plchotová and Tereza Matuszková won European Junior Championship gold in 2000, and Martina Michalíková and Kristýna Lindovská took bronze at the same tournament a decade later.
