«Hanačky»
The Národní sportovní centrum Prostějov, where VK Prostějov play their home matches, holds 336 seated spectators.
The club itself is a product of arrangement rather than descent: TK PLUS, a marketing agency, set it up in 2007 after agreements with TJ OP Prostějov and Moravská Slavia Brno, and it entered the Czech Extraliga that same season. Organised volleyball in the town goes back to 1939, to SK Haná, but that lineage stops short of the club as it exists now.
The nickname, Hanačky, ties the team to the Haná region around Prostějov rather than to the city alone. From 2008-09 through 2017-18, VK Prostějov won ten straight domestic championships. They added it again in 2021-22 and once more in 2024-25, taking the total to twelve. The Czech Cup went with them almost as often — ten times between 2008 and 2018.
Between those two points the club also played in the CEV Champions League and the CEV Cup.
