Kilis Genclik

Uğur Koçaslan was signed as head coach in September 2026, and his first job is to keep Kilis Gençlik in the 1. Lig, the Turkish men's volleyball first league. The club reached it by winning Group B of the 2. Lig regional qualifiers in 2025–26. It then went to the final stage in Afyonkarahisar and finished second in its group, which was enough for promotion.

That route was not straightforward. On 6 February 2023 the earthquakes struck the south-east of the country, and many of the club's players were among those affected. The team left Kilis and moved to Çorum, where it played its 2. Lig play-offs. Kilis Gençlik had been built as a local side, and it spent that season playing away from the city it represents.

The club was founded in 1995 in green and white (Yeşil-Beyaz), and is described as the first amateur sports club set up in Kilis. Its base in the city is at Yedi Aralık Mahallesi, Murtaza Caddesi, under president Cemil Demirci. Home matches are played at the Şehit Ali Osman Şahin Spor Salonu on Saflar Necioğlu Bulvarı. None of the squad's players, among them Ali Can Dündar, Berke Can Bıldırcın, Ata Ünver and Burak Sağlam, is known outside Turkish volleyball. The club has won no national title and no cup. Its record is a climb from regional volleyball up through the divisions.

The 1. Lig season of 2026–27 comes 31 years after the club was founded.
