TVF Spor Lisesi

A volleyball federation that runs its own high school is unusual, and the Turkish Volleyball Federation does exactly that. When the school opened in Ankara in 2009, it was the first thematic sports high school in Turkey. The 581-seat Beştepe Volleyball Hall serves as its home court and training base.

The first result of note came within two years. Ankara hosted the 2011 FIVB Girls Youth World Championship, and three players from the school's team were admitted to the Turkey squad that won it. In 2012 the girls' team took the Ankara regional title, beating TED Ankara Kolejliler 3-2 in the final.

The boys' team has since become the school's main claim on international volleyball. A bronze medal in Serbia was followed by gold at the 2022 World High School Volleyball Championship, run by the International School Sport Federation (ISF). In Foz do Iguaçu, Brazil, they beat Taiwan 3-2 in the final after trailing 1-2 in sets. Gold came again in 2026 in Shangluo, China, and the final followed the same course: Greece, 3-2, from 1-2 down.

Among the graduates who reached the national team, Aydın is the best known. A smasher born on 5 January 2000, Aydın joined Galatasaray in 2017 and later won gold at the 2023 European Championship, then silver at the 2025 World Championship.

In 2025 the school also entered beach volleyball. Its men's pair won the first Balkan Club Beach Volleyball Championship. Its women won the Turkish club championship, which gave them Turkey's place in that year's European Cup.

The federation that opened the school in 2009 still operates it.
