Larne Women

The team started out in November 2004 as a separate entity, Larne Ladies FC, and later went quiet for several years with no active side on the pitch. Larne FC brought it back on 24 February 2018 as part of a development push, and William Noble, who had coached the team between 2006 and 2013, returned to rebuild it. In March 2022 the club dropped the "Ladies" name in favour of Larne FC Women.

Noble's second spell produced a rapid climb. The team won NIWFA North 2 in 2018 without losing a match, took the third tier in 2021, then the Championship in 2022, earning promotion to the Women's Premiership. Kate Smith signed the club's first professional contract in January 2024. Noble left in January 2025 after twenty years involved with the club, and Phil McNamara, previously in the NCAA system, had already taken over as head coach the year before.

Since reaching the Premiership, Larne have finished seventh in their debut season and eighth in the two campaigns since, against Cliftonville Women and Crusaders Women among their main rivals in the division.
