LP-Vampula Women

The volleyball club at Huittinen carries the name of Vampula, the neighbouring village that gave it a nickname long before anyone thought to translate it: locals call the team Vampyyrit, the Vampires. It has been going since 1946, long enough to have outlasted its old home, the Huhkolinna sports hall, before the club moved into the Tahto Areena in 2019.

LP-Vampula plays in the Mestaruusliiga, Finland's top women's division, and has built its recent identity around the Suomen Cup rather than the league table. Linnea Kuusela has been the constant through much of that run, the longest-serving player in the squad, while Nanna Talvitie came up through the club's own academy to take the setter's position: its youth system has sent seven players into the league, most recently 18-year-old Niina Mattila, who stepped up to the senior side for the 2025–2026 season.
