Mulhouse start the new season as French champions and Cup holders. They won both in 2026, in the first season of André Sá, who took over in 2025 after François Salvagni's six years in charge.

The club began in 1974 as ASPTT Mulhouse and kept that name for 48 years. In 2022 it became Volley Mulhouse Alsace, VMA for short. The first national title, in 2017, came late in the fifteen years that Magali Magail spent on the bench, from 2004 to 2019. Under Salvagni the club took the championship and the Cup together in 2021 and added the Super Cup the following year.

Lea Soldner-Krist is captain. The academy has produced Enora Danard-Selosse and Julia Casadei, who now play alongside the foreign signings.

The Derby de l'Est against Vandœuvre-Nancy Volley-Ball is the fixture the region circles, and Mulhouse fill the 3,613 seats of the Palais des Sports Gilbert Buttazzoni for it.
