Negeri Sembilan sit in the Malaysia Premier League, the tier they climbed back into after taking the 2021 title. The club these days trades under a corporate name, Negeri Sembilan Football Club.

The shirt still carries the state flag: red, yellow and black.

The Malaysia Cup came in 1948, then not again until 2009 and 2011. The FA Cup went the same way — 2003, when Everson Martinelli scored the winner, and 2010. A Super League title arrived in between, in 2005–06, the only time the club has topped Malaysian football's first division.

Home games are played at Tuanku Abdul Rahman Stadium, known locally as Stadium Paroi, which used to hold crowds of 45,000 before seating replaced terracing in 2025.

The ground now holds 25,550.
