Resistencia SC

The club's ground is in Barrio Ricardo Brugada .

Its founders were sympathetic to the communist movement, and when the club was formally registered on 27 December 1917 , the initials RSC were read as Resistencia Social Comunista. The Red Triangle on the badge dates from that decision.

Red, though, is only the badge.

In 1966 Resistencia finished top and went nowhere: the promotion play-offs were scrapped, the championship stood in the record, and the side began the following season in the same division it had just won. The last of the four came in 1998, by which time the competition carried the name it still uses, the Division Intermedia. There was one more final after that, in the third division in 2011, and it was lost.

The home ground is the Estadio Tomás Beygon Gorea .

Two years before the registration, in 1915, Sandalio Riveros gathered the side together under a different name entirely — Club Criollo.
