Turi

Villi Vantsi is the one name attached to Türi VK. There is no first-team run at the Meistriliiga, no Aadu Luukase karikas on a shelf somewhere — Türi plays where it has always played.

The paperwork traces back to 17 September 1998, when the club registered as Mittetulundusühing Türi Võrkpalliklubi. It kept that name until 2 January 2006, when the bylaws changed and it became simply Türi Võrkpalliklubi. On court the team has competed under sponsor names — IMsport/Järvamaa, now IMsport/Türi.

Home games are played at Türi spordihoone, a hall that holds 200 people, on Tallinna tänav. That number alone says what level this is: a venue built for a town team, not for crowds. The club also takes part in the Baltic League, which gives Järva County's side matches beyond the domestic ladder it would otherwise be confined to.

For now Türi VK's business is staying competitive in the Esiliiga and keeping the Baltic League fixtures on the calendar — a club run on one coach and a couple of hundred seats, with no cup run behind it and none promised ahead.
