«Los Reales»
La Vega sits in the fertile valley that gives the club its name. Atlético Vega Real was formed on 17 October 2014 and stepped into the Liga Dominicana de Fútbol the following year.
They play as Los Reales, in red trimmed with yellow and white, and their best run came in 2021, when they reached the league final and lost to Cibao FC 4-2 on aggregate after splitting the two legs. It remains the closest the club has come to a domestic title.
Vega Real have carried that form abroad too, going as far as the semi-finals of the CFU Club Championship in 2022 and taking part in the CONCACAF League, exposure that has shaped how the club builds its squad.
At home they skip the city's larger Estadio Olímpico in favour of the smaller Estadio El Cóndor, a ground that holds 2,000. The fiercest date on the calendar remains the Derby Vegano against Jarabacoa FC.
No major honour has followed the 2021 final yet.
