BATE II came from behind to beat Orsha 2:1 in the First League on Thursday evening. The result keeps the visitors in the lower half of the table while Orsha remain in 13th place after 22 games.
Orsha took the lead through I. Kuimov in the 18th minute, and by then the hosts had looked comfortable enough. BATE II found a way back into it when V. Yatskevich scored in the 57th minute. A. Alexandrovich sealed the win eight minutes from time with the second goal for the visitors.
Discipline was kept relatively clean throughout the match. Orsha picked up a yellow card in the 37th minute while BATE II received one in the 61st minute. Neither side saw a red card, though the away end never stopped making their presence felt after the comeback.
Orsha sit 13th with 25 points from 22 matches — seven wins, four draws and 11 defeats. BATE II are 17th after 23 games, collecting just 18 points from four victories and six draws. The gap between them is seven points, though the visitors have played one more match than their hosts.
The result extends BATE II's recent improvement after a run of difficult fixtures. Orsha, by contrast, will be disappointed to drop points after taking an early lead. The visitors now have the opportunity to close the gap slightly on the teams above them.
