Bistrica

Promotion to the top flight came only once, and it took Bistrica most of its existence to get there. The 2021–22 season brought the 3. SNL East title, the win that finally opened the door to 1. SNL, and for 2022–23 the club from Slovenska Bistrica played in Slovenia's top division for the first time, finishing 11th. Nothing in the years before or since has matched it; the club has since dropped back to the second tier, where it has stayed through 2024–25.

Before that breakthrough, the honours sat at regional level. Bistrica won the 4. liga's Štajerska division three times, in 1998–99, 2000–01 and 2009–10, the kind of steady lower-league form that keeps a club going without changing its status. No national cup or top-flight silverware has followed the single season among Slovenia's elite.

Home games are played at Športni park Slovenska Bistrica, in a club colour scheme of red and white that gave rise to the informal nickname Rdeči among local reporters, alongside the more common Bistričani.

The club dates back to 1958, formed in Slovenska Bistrica.
