Parque Luis Méndez Piana sits close enough to the Villa Dolores zoo.
The black-and-white stripes worn at home came from Club Sportivo Miramar, founded in 1915. The red-and-black change kit came from Misiones Football Club, founded in 1906. On 25 June 1980 the two merged, and what had been a local rivalry inside the Parque Batlle district became one club with two wardrobes.
Atilio García turned out here in 1953.
The third tier came in 2021, and with it the Supercopa AUF-OFI, taken 5-0 against Central de San José. By 2025 it was playing in the Primera División.
