Skyy

Daboase sits inland in the Western North Region, and until 2016 its football was carried by a local side called Mighty Royals. That year Wilson Arthur took the club over and rebranded it Skyy FC: the team's average age has hovered around 17 or 18, run through a programme called "Justify Your Inclusion" for players aged 17 to 19. An unbeaten first season took Skyy straight into the Ghanaian First Division League.

Baba Hamidu Musah finished the 2022/23 Division One League as top scorer with 20 goals and drew interest from Asante Kotoko, Dreams FC and Hearts of Oak; Ebenezer Adukwaw, tagged the division's "playmaker poster boy" in 2021, was sold to Elmina Sharks. Skyy have not reached a Premier League or FA Cup final, though they got as far as the FA Cup semi-final in 2024/25 before losing to Hearts of Oak.

They won the maiden Division One League Super Cup in 2021, beating Tema Youth 7-6 on penalties — the first club to hold the trophy. They were back in the final two years later, in 2023, and lost it to Bofoakwa Tano.

Skyy's own ground, St. Martins School Park in Daboase, is a school pitch doubling as the Western Regional Football Association's game centre, and in 2022 the Ghana Football Association banned the club from playing there at all, after assaults on FC Samartex's officials and players. Skyy have been playing away from home in Daboase ever since.
