Aigle Royal de Moungo

Twenty-six years separate the two spells of Aigle Royal de Moungo in Cameroon's top flight. The exile began after the 1994 Elite One title, the club's second, and ended only in 2024, when Aigle Royal won the MTN Elite Two and returned to the level it had once been champion of.

The department gives the club its identity as much as its name does. Melong, the department's capital in the Littoral Region, is where the side is based, and the nickname l'oiseau du Moungo, the Bird of Moungo, follows the same idea. The colours are blue and white.

The first Elite One title came in 1971, sandwiched between two Cameroon Cup final defeats, in 1970 and 1975, that Aigle Royal never turned into a trophy. In 2022, still outside the top division, the club won the Interpoules Tournament and reached the Cameroon Cup quarter-finals.

Their ground, the Stade Municipal de Nkongsamba, holds 2,500.
