Fauve Azur Elite

Four seasons after Fauve Azur Elite forced its way into the MTN Elite One, the best the club has managed in Cameroon's top flight is tenth place in its group, a finish that says as much about the size of the climb as about where the team stands now. There is no trophy on the shelf to soften that, and none has come since the promotion that put the club there in 2021.

The name itself carries a small joke that outsiders miss: Fauve means wild beast in French, and paired with Azur it turns into something like a blue predator, a name built for a crest rather than handed down from a founding legend.

That proximity to the country's established power is where the club's sharpest test lies.
