Bruno Matias

Bruno Matias made his name at Mirassol, part of the squad that secured the club's first-ever promotion to Série A in 2024. He arrived at Chapecoense for the 2025 season, going on to play 39 matches in that year's Série B campaign.

His route there was not a straight one. Bruno Matias began his senior career at Grêmio Novorizontino, spending time out on loan at Figueirense and then at Brasil de Pelotas before a free transfer took him to Sport Recife in 2022. A run of one-season stops followed — CSA, Tombense and Vila Nova all had him on their books before Mirassol came calling in 2024.

At Chapecoense he became one of the side's dependable presences, contributing a goal across the Série B season as the club fought for a return to the top flight. They finished third in the table, behind champions Coritiba and runners-up Athletico Paranaense, with Remo also going up in fourth — enough to send Chapecoense back to Série A for 2026. Bruno Matias also featured as the team reached the final of the Campeonato Catarinense, where they came up short against Avaí.

A right-footed defensive midfielder by trade, he moved through Brazil's state and regional leagues before finding a settled role first at Mirassol and now at Chapecoense.
