Leaders Cup (France) 2026/27

The **Leaders Cup** is an annual mid-season basketball tournament organized by the French National Basketball League (LNB). It serves as the primary domestic cup for professional clubs in France, distinct from the French Basketball Cup (*Coupe de France*), which is organized by the French Basketball Federation (FFBB) and open to amateur and professional teams alike. The Leaders Cup is restricted to the top professional teams of the Betclic Élite (formerly Pro A).

The competition was founded in 2012, with the inaugural edition held in February 2013. It was created through a partnership between the LNB and Disneyland Paris, initially held at the Disney Events Arena in Marne-la-Vallée. The tournament was suspended in 2021 and 2022 due to the COVID-19 pandemic and financial difficulties, respectively. It returned in 2023, relocating to the Arena Saint-Étienne Métropole in Saint-Chamond, and moved to Caen for the 2025 edition.

The format typically involves the eight best teams from the first half of the regular season, competing in a knockout tournament (quarter-finals, semi-finals, and final) over a few days. Recent winners include Le Mans Sarthe Basket (2025), Paris Basketball (2024), and LDLC ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne (2023). Historically, AS Monaco, Le Mans Sarthe Basket, and Pau-Lacq-Orthez are among the most successful clubs, with AS Monaco holding the record for most titles when including predecessors like the Tournoi des As and Semaine des As.

The competition is considered a significant mid-season showcase, offering the first major trophy of the basketball season in France.
