Monaco

La Roca Team grew out of the multi-sports club A.S. Monaco, adding a basketball section in 1928, four years after the parent club itself came together. The low point came in the lower reaches of the French pyramid before Ukrainian businessman Sergey Dyadechko bought the club in 2014. Promotion followed within a year, from the third tier to Pro A. In January 2022 Aleksei Fedoricsev, the Russian businessman behind Fedcom, took over as majority owner and president, with Dyadechko staying on as Vice President of Sports Operations — a separate line of ownership from the Monaco football club, which belongs to Dmitry Rybolovlev.

The roster since has carried players built for the biggest French and European nights: Mike James, the club's all-time EuroLeague leader in performance index rating, and Nando de Colo among them. Vassilis Spanoulis played there before returning as head coach. The club reached the EuroLeague Final Four in 2023 and went a step further in 2025, reaching the Final itself.

Domestically the rise shows in the trophy count: three Pro A titles, taken in 2022–23, 2023–24 and 2025–26, alongside two Coupe de France wins. In Europe, the EuroCup arrived in 2020–21. Home games are played in the Fontvieille district, at a ground holding 5,000.
