Nanterre 92

The league title Nanterre 92 collected in 2012–13 stands alone on the club's honours list, and it came only after the club had first climbed out of the second division, winning Pro B in 2010–11 to earn the promotion that made the championship possible. Two French Cups followed, in 2013–14 and 2016–17, each paired with a Super Cup, and in between the club took the FIBA EuroChallenge in 2014–15, then the FIBA Europe Cup in 2016–17.

Nanterre 92 grew out of Jeunesse Sportive des Fontenelles de Nanterre, formed in 1927 in the Paris suburb; the current name only arrived in February 2016, after the Hauts-de-Seine department deepened its backing and roughly doubled its annual funding to around €500,000, department number 92 going straight into the club's identity. Pascal Donnadieu ran the bench through nearly all of that rise, from 1987 to 2024. Victor Wembanyama made his professional debut there in 2019 before his path led him out of French basketball altogether.

The fixture that matters most now sits close to home. Since Paris Basketball's arrival in the capital, meetings between the two sides have been billed as the derby francilien.
