Prva Liga (North Macedonia) 2024/25

Prva Liga, officially known as the Super Liga, is the premier professional basketball competition in North Macedonia. Organised by the Basketball Federation of North Macedonia (KFSM), the league sits at the top of the national hierarchy, with teams vying for the title and European qualification. The competition traces its origins to 1992, emerging after the country gained independence from Yugoslavia. The inaugural season followed immediately, featuring clubs that had previously competed within the Yugoslav system. Today, the league comprises twelve teams competing in a rigorous schedule. Each side plays every opponent twice in a double round-robin format, resulting in 22 games during the regular season. Points are distributed with two for a win, one for an overtime loss, and none for a regulation defeat. After the regular campaign, the structure splits. The top eight sides progress to the playoffs, which unfold through quarterfinals, semifinals, and a final. Every stage is contested as a best-of-three series, requiring three victories to advance. The ultimate winner claims the championship and earns a place in the Basketball Champions League or other FIBA European tournaments. Meanwhile, the bottom six teams enter a relegation phase. The two sides finishing at the bottom of this phase drop to the Second Macedonian Basketball League (Vtora Liga). Promotion from the second tier is decided through playoffs involving regional leaders. Historically, KK Rabotnički holds the record with fifteen titles, while MZT Skopje Aerodrom has secured thirteen. MZT Skopje Aerodrom also won the 2024–25 and 2025–26 seasons, remaining the current reigning champion. The league was renamed the Super Liga in July 2025, though it has carried commercial names like the M-TEL Super League in the past. A third-place match, played as a best-of-two series, determines the bronze medalists in the playoffs.
