Kirchheim Knights — Bayreuth: 104:75, Pro A

Kirchheim Knights beat Bayreuth 104 to 75 in the Pro A on 4 October. The hosts held their nerve from the opening tip and never looked back. By then the gap had opened up enough that the visitors simply had no answer.

What stood out straight away was the shooting. Kirchheim knocked down 20 field goals compared to Bayreuth's 12, and they found the net from three-point range six times against just three. The difference in efficiency was stark.

Kirchheim's advantage on the boards told its own story. They pulled down 26 rebounds to Bayreuth's 17, with 15 coming on the offensive end. That kind of work in the paint gave them second chances when Bayreuth thought they had the ball safe.

The numbers don't lie about control. Kirchheim recorded 9 assists to Bayreuth's 7, while the visitors coughed up 14 turnovers against just 5 for the hosts. And here's the thing — those turnovers translated into easy points that Kirchheim didn't need to work for.

Bayreuth sit 10th after 34 games with 15 wins and 19 defeats. They've been running out of games to turn things around, and this result made that harder to swallow. Kirchheim, meanwhile, sit 6th with 20 victories and 14 losses — they fancy their chances of pushing higher still.
