About the player
Martinelli made his professional debut for Fluminense on 1 December 2020, against Red Bull Bragantino. In January 2023 he signed a contract extension originally running to 2025, which was later stretched out to 2030.
Across his time at the club he has won the Copa Libertadores in 2023, the Recopa Sudamericana in 2024, and the Campeonato Carioca in both 2022 and 2023.
Despite that record and reported consideration under Carlo Ancelotti, Martinelli has not yet earned a senior cap for Brazil. He was left out of the squad named for the friendlies against Australia and India in September 2026.
