Richard Rafael Sánchez Guerrero

Richard Sánchez came through at River Plate in Asunción before returning to the club where he had grown up, Olimpia, in 2017. It was there that he established himself, winning three Paraguayan Primera División titles and reaching the final of the Copa Paraguay. He led to a move abroad in August 2019, when Club América signed him for a reported fee of $7 million.

Sánchez spent the following years in Mexico before moving on to Racing Club in Argentina in March 2025, a transfer worth around $3 million. In January 2026 he returned to Olimpia on loan for a season, with a purchase option attached, bringing him back to the club where his career had taken off.

At international level, Sánchez debuted for Paraguay in June 2019 and scored his first goal for the national side against Argentina at that year's Copa América. He went on to feature in the 2021 and 2024 editions of the tournament as well. As of August 2022, he had won 31 caps for Paraguay and scored once.
