BBC Contern Women

Contern's women had never reached a European-tier final until the run through the 2025–26 Total League season ended with a place in the Enovos League final, a result the club had not managed before in its history. A season earlier the same group had gone as far as the LaLux Ladies Cup final, so the two campaigns read as one continuous climb rather than a single lucky run.

The women's section sits inside AB Contern, Les Amis du Basket-Ball, a multi-sport association founded in Contern in 1956. Its own high point came earlier: a Luxembourg Championship in 2003–04, paired with two Luxembourg Cup wins either side of it, in 1999–2000 and again in 2003–04. Nothing since has matched that run until the recent finals appearances put the club back into contention.

Fabienne Fuger has coached the side through that resurgence and was named Coach of the Year for the work, with Claire Margue assisting on the bench. The roster has carried an international accent for years, with players such as Bridget Herlihy arriving from the United States and Zoe Richards from New Zealand alongside home-grown names like Léonie Edringer.

Matches are played at the Hall Sportif Contern, a modest hall built for a club that has never needed more than it has. In the league table, Etzella Ettelbruck and Amicale Steinsel remain the sides Contern measures itself against most often, though neither shares a town with them.

The hall holds 150 spectators.
