Hermann Paar had already coached both the Luxembourg and Germany women's national teams by the time he took charge at Niederanven, and under him a club that had spent years in T71 Dudelange's shadow became a formidable presence. The Hueschtert district gave the team its ground, the Centre Sportif Am Sand, and its identity ran deeper still: Gréngewald, "green forest", left the club known simply as the Greens.

The breakthrough had come earlier, in 2019, when the national championship went to a buzzer-beater in overtime against Dudelange, scored by Alex Louin. It stood as a one-off until the 2022–23 season, when Gréngewald Hueschtert beat Dudelange 3–1 in the league final and added the LaLux Ladies Cup in the same year. They did it again in 2023–24, closing out Dudelange 3–2 for the title before losing the Cup final to the same rivals. By 2024–25 the opponent in the finals had changed: Sparta Bertrange fell in the league decider and again in the Cup final, 79–73.

Between those league titles, the club stepped onto a continental stage for the first time in 2020–21, playing in the EuroCup Women — the first Luxembourgish side to do so in over a decade.

The roster carries its own local thread: Jo Oly came up through the club's academy before moving on to NCAA Division II basketball, while Canadian import Maurice Calloo joined in 2023 as the side settled into its run of finals. But it is Paar's name that supporters reach for first when they explain how a club founded in 1947 became, within three seasons, a dominant force in Luxembourgish basketball.
