Amicale Steinsel Women

Amicale won the Luxembourg women's championship in 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018, and again in 2022 and 2024. The first three of which came in 1970, 1974 and 1975. The four-year run was a return to the top after a long gap. The team also took the Luxembourg Women's Cup in 2017, 2018 and 2019, having won it in 2012 and, much earlier, in 1974. Their main rival in the title races is T71 Dudelange.

The strength did not come only from the senior side. The 1996–1997 age group went through its season unbeaten in the under-14, under-16 and under-18 categories. Bob Melcher and Alex Laurent are among the names who passed through the club.

Steinsel was also early in another respect. Amicale was the first club in Luxembourg to have its own clubhouse and sports hall, and it moved in during 1958. The hall the teams use now, the Halle Omnisports Alain Marchetti, holds 1,000 and is painted in the club's yellow and purple.

The women's game in the village is older than the club's official date. BBC Melusina Steinsel, a women's club, was founded in 1946.
