Dubrava Zagreb

The Dubrava district has had its own basketball club since 22 April 1976, when Srećko Medvedec put the team together. It settled at Športska dvorana Dubrava, a hall that holds no more than 2,000, and the club returned to its own name in 2001, added Furnir to it in 2019, and now competes simply as Furnir.

Supporters still call the team Lavovi , the Lions. The academy has sent players further than the club itself ever got: Dalibor Bagarić came through the youth ranks, played for the first team either side of 2000, was drafted 24th overall by the Chicago Bulls, and returned to Dubrava in 2010.

Dubrava's trophy cabinet holds only second-tier silverware — the Croatian A2 League in 1992, 1993 and 2006 — along with two junior championships. The Croatian League title and the Croatian Cup are the two things Dubrava has never won.
