Zagorje Derby settles the question first: Zabok against Krapina, two clubs of the Krapina-Zagorje County.

No major honour sits in the cabinet. Promotion to the top-tier league arrived first on 22 May 2007, in a decisive match won 98:90 against KK Dubrava Zagreb, and after a spell away from that level, Zabok returned to the top flight in March 2017.

Finances have set the limits more than once. In the 2009/2010 season the club finished fifth in the championship league and qualified for the EuroChallenger Cup, then withdrew rather than meet the cost of playing in it. Damir Markota went on to the NBA and a World Cup with Croatia in 2014, Luka Žorić played at EuroBasket 2013, and Filip Krušlin represented the national side in World Cup qualifiers in 2023.

The name on the shirt has not always been Zabok.
