Croatian Cup 2025/26

The Krešimir Ćosić Cup stands as the premier national knockout competition in Croatian basketball. Officially recognised under the name Kup Krešimira Ćosića, the tournament is organized by the Croatian Basketball Federation (HKS). It operates separately from the ABA League, which serves as a regional multi-national contest, ensuring this competition remains the specific domestic trophy awarded by the national federation.

The structure currently involves sixteen teams in the preliminary stage. Twelve clubs from the top-tier Premijer Liga join four winners from regional cup competitions in the Round of 16. The tournament proceeds via a knockout format, with the winners of that round advancing to the Final Eight. This Završni turnir takes place at a neutral location over a few days, featuring quarter-finals, semi-finals, and a final. All matches in the Final Eight are single-leg games.

European qualification is a key feature of the event. The winner traditionally qualifies for the FIBA Europe Cup. However, the entry point varies depending on the status of the victor. If the winner is not an ABA League team or does not qualify for higher European tiers via league position, they typically enter the FIBA Europe Cup Qualifying Round. If the winner is an ABA League team, their European qualification is usually determined by their ABA League standing, and the FIBA spot may be transferred to the next eligible domestic team or the cup winner enters the FIBA Qualifiers.

The competition is named after the legendary Croatian basketball player Krešimir Ćosić. Historical success is shared between KK Cibona and KK Zadar, who are tied with nine titles each. KK Split holds the third-most successful record with seven titles, including the inaugural 1992 edition and recent wins. The current holder is KK Split, who secured the 2024–25 and 2025–26 editions.
