KK Cedevita Junior

KK Cedevita Junior took up that gap, starting again from the Croatian second division rather than inheriting a place at the top. Promotion came in the 2020–21 season, when the club won the A-2 Liga and moved up into the HT Premijer Liga.

The colours are a straight carry-over from the sponsor: Cedevita switched its own branding from red to orange in 2015, and the club has played in orange, black and white ever since, which is where the nickname Narančasti — the Oranges — comes from. Games against Cibona are still called the Zagreb derby, and the two sides met in back-to-back Krešimir Ćosić Cup finals, in 2022 and 2023, with Cibona winning both.

What the club actually trades in is players rather than trophies. The academy that fed the old Cedevita side produced Jusuf Nurkić before his NBA career, and Džanan Musa went through the same system on his way to an NBA draft slot and a EuroLeague title elsewhere. Junior's own honours list stays thin by comparison — a second-division title, two lost cup finals, a quarter-final run in the ABA League 2 last season. Dino Repesa has been coaching the side.
