Dinamo Zagreb

For most of its life the club at Rudeš had no ambition beyond the neighbourhood: a local outfit grinding through Croatia's lower divisions. By 2006 it was close to folding altogether, kept alive only when a group led by Mladen Miholić took it over and redirected what little the club had toward developing young players rather than chasing results. Neven Spahija's arrival as vice president in 2011 pushed that academy work further.

The name changed on 27 April 2020, when KK Rudeš became KK Dinamo Zagreb, attaching itself to the city's best-known sporting brand while keeping its own infrastructure and academy intact. It plays at the Dražen Petrović Basketball Hall, a ground named after the city's own basketball icon, holding 5,400.

On court its sharpest edge is local rather than continental — the derby against Cibona, fought under the backing of the Bad Blue Boys and known as the Derby della Capitale, along with a smaller rivalry against Dubrava. Damir Mulaomerović took over as head coach in 2024.

What the club has not done, even after taking the Dinamo name, is win either the Croatian League or the Croatian Cup.
