«The Brigadiers»
The Kuwait Basketball Federation Hall, inside the Sheikh Saad Al-Abdullah Indoor Sports Complex in the Sabah Al-Salem district, holds around 5,000 people.
The basketball section grew out of Kuwait Sports Club, the multi-sport body founded on 20 October 1960, and took on the nickname "Al-Amid" — the Brigadiers — that now belongs specifically to the team in white and red. Domestic rivalries with Al-Qadsia, Al-Arabi and Kazma have shaped the section's identity as much as its trophy count.
Kuwait SC won the Arab Club Basketball Championship in 2022 and again in 2025, having finished runners-up in the tournament in 2021, and took the Gulf League subdivision in both 2023 and 2024 after reaching the final of the wider West Asia Super League in 2022–23. Imports such as A.J. Slaughter, Cady Lalanne and Chinanu Onuaku have passed through the roster in support of that regional push, while the national team has long drawn on Kuwait SC players, Fahed Aldhafairi among them.
