Lanus

Lanús beat San Isidro de San Francisco 3–1 in the 2026 Liga Argentina final. It was the club's second-division title in the second tier's newer format, following the Liga Nacional B in 1996/97.

The closest they came was the 2012/13 season, when they reached the LNB final and lost to Quimsa. In the same season they made the Final Four of the Liga de las Américas and finished runners-up to Pinheiros. Nicolás Laprovittola had left by then. He began his professional career at Lanús in 2007, aged 17.

The older claim is on the city's name. Through the 1950s, 60s and 70s Lanús was called "La Capital Nacional del Básquet": Torneo Oficial Asociación de Bs As titles in 1958, 1969 and 1972, Metropolitano titles in 1970 and 1976, and the Torneo Argentino de Clubes in 1977. On 22 May 1975 the side beat FC Barcelona 94–90. Alfredo Murillas and Carlos Pellandini are among the players from those years.

Today the team plays at the Microestadio Antonio Rotili on Avenida 9 de Julio. The rivalry that matters is with Quilmes Atlético Club, the "Clásico del Sur", with Talleres de Remedios de Escalada next.

The burgundy-and-white identity comes from a merger. On 3 January 1915 Lanús United and Club El Progreso joined to form Club Atlético Lanús.
