Instituto de Cordoba

Instituto have played in the Liga Nacional de Básquet, Argentina's top division, since winning the second-tier Liga Argentina in 2014-15. Their most recent trophy is the Supercopa de Básquetbol of 2024, won against Boca Juniors.

The years after promotion were built in Alta Córdoba, in the Estadio Ángel Sandrín, a hall of about 2,000 seats. The first proof came in 2018-19, when Instituto reached the Liga Nacional final and lost to San Lorenzo 4-3. The same team had already been runners-up in the Liga Sudamericana de Básquetbol in 2018.

The title followed in 2021-22. Instituto beat Quimsa 3-2 in the final, and Martín Cuello was named the series' most valuable player. Lucas Victoriano coached that side and the one that followed, and Gastón Whelan was captain. In 2022 the team also beat Quimsa for the Supercopa.

The 2023 Liga Sudamericana was the club's first continental title. Instituto beat Titanes de Barranquilla 82-71 in the final, and the American forward Bryan Jefferson was voted MVP. Before that, the club's best run in the Basketball Champions League Americas had ended in the semifinals in 2019-20.

The multi-sport club behind the team was founded on 8 August 1918 by employees of the Ferrocarril Central Córdoba railway. It is known as La Gloria, El Glorioso Cordobés and Albirrojo.

The rival is Talleres de Córdoba. The two clubs share a city, and their meetings are the Clásico Cordobés.
