Lund 2 Women

The second team plays in Basketettan Dam Södra, feeding players up to the club's Basketligan side. In 2018/19 that development group won the group outright with seventeen wins from eighteen matches, only to lose the promotion qualification round and stay put.

The whole operation traces back to Set Odelsberg, who founded the club in 1949 and chaired it himself. The honours board lists three Swedish championships and a Superettan Herr title in 2015 — while the women's set-up built its own pipeline underneath it, with this second team as the proving ground.

Home games are played at Eoshallen, a 350-seat hall opened in 1989, in green and white.

Players move through and out: Georgia de Leeuw came through between 2015 and 2020 with a break in between and went on to play for Austria's national team, while Filip Škobalj stayed on the youth side until 2018 before signing with Crvena Zvezda in 2025. Neither is a second-team fixture by the time those moves happen, but both mark the kind of path this level is meant to open up.

What exactly the second-team derby against LUGI looks like on a given weekend matters less than the fact that it is still LUGI, whichever level either side is playing at.
