Södertälje 2 Women play in Basketettan, the third tier of Swedish women's basketball. They are the development side of Södertälje BBK and also go by SBBK Utveckling or SBBK 2. Their home is the arena at Rosenborgsskolan. The main club plays at Täljehallen, which holds 2,000. The reserve team has no honours of its own, and its work is to prepare players for the white and green of the senior squads.

Those squads set the standard. The senior women, known as Telge Basket, won the Swedish championship nine years running from 1977 to 1985. They took it again in 1997, 2011 and 2012, and most recently in 2024. That makes 13 titles, and the last gap between them was 12 years, from 1985 to 1997.

The men have 12 championships of their own, the first in 1978, the year the women were in the middle of their run. Four came in a row from 2013 to 2016, with a fifth in 2019. From 1995 to 2020 the men's team played as the Kings.

The club was founded on 17 July 1968. Alvik BBK is the club's main rival.

Among the players the club counts as its own are the sisters Elin and Frida Eldebrink.
