Nässjö's green shirts, 'di gröne' in the Swedish press and #Gogreens, are best known from the men's side. It has played in the Basketligan, the Swedish top division, since the 2012-13 season.

The women made their Division 1 debut in 2025/2026 and finished seventh. They play in Nässjö Sporthall, which holds 1,200 spectators.

The club itself is far older than either senior team. It was founded in 1939 as Nässjö Highlanders and took the name Nässjö Basket in 2000. The men were runners-up in BasketEttan, the second division, in 2010. They reached the top flight two seasons after that.

The F09 girls won the Skövde cup in 2025 and won it again in 2026. The men's U21 team has won SM-GULD, the Swedish championship gold.

The women's team has no senior title yet, and one season in Division 1 has not changed that.
