Nancy U21

The Espoirs side plays in the LNB Espoirs championship, the national development tier that has run since 2009 and exists to push players up into SLUC Nancy's senior group. It is a team built to graduate talent rather than simply to collect points, and the record backs that up: five Championnat de France Espoirs Elite titles, three of them won in a row between 2004 and 2006, then two more in 2017 and 2024.

The 2011 Trophée du Futur landed in a year that mattered twice over — the same season the senior team took the French championship, so the reserve and first-team trophies arrived together. Nancy repeated the Trophée du Futur in 2017, the same year the Espoirs squad won its fourth Elite title.

The pipeline has sent close to a dozen players out of the academy and into professional basketball, Abou Diallo and Yoan Granvorka among the names who made that step, alongside Enzo Goudou-Sinha, Mehdy Ngouama and others who followed the same route through the club's youth structure.

Below senior level, the fixture against Metz BC carries its own weight in Lorraine: reserve and lower-tier teams from the two clubs meet in what locals call the derby lorrain, a smaller-scale echo of the senior rivalry with Strasbourg.

Home games are played at the Palais des sports Jean-Weille, in the Gentilly district of Nancy, the same 6,043-seat arena the senior team uses.
