Gravelines-Dunkerque U21

The Espoirs squad answers to the senior side, BCM Gravelines-Dunkerque. The merger that gave the club its full name came later, in 2002, when it took in Dunkerque under president Hervé Beddeleem.

What the age-group team is for shows in the names it has sent upward: Louka Letailleur, a European U16 champion, signed his first professional contract in 2025. Evan Boisdur has been the leading scorer for the Espoirs. The team itself has taken the Championnat de France Espoirs three times, in 2003, 2012 and 2014.

The senior team carries the honours that matter beyond the reserve age group — the Coupe de France in 2005, the Leaders Cup in 2011 and 2013 — and the rivalry with ESSM Le Portel, played out as the Opalico derby, named for the Côte d'Opale the two clubs share.

The Espoirs play their home matches away from the professional arena, at the Salle Norbert Merlen, a municipal gymnasium in Gravelines that holds 264 people.
