About the player
Alaa Bellaarouch stopped a penalty from Kylian Mbappé six minutes into his Ligue 1 debut, on 2 February 2024 against Paris Saint-Germain, even though Strasbourg went on to lose the match 2-1.
He went on to make 15 Ligue 1 appearances for Strasbourg during the 2023-24 season.
In June 2025, Bellaarouch moved to SC Braga on a contract running until 2030. A year later, he was sent out on loan again, this time to FC Dinamo București for the 2026-27 season, with an option that could turn permanent for €500,000.
At international level, Bellaarouch has moved through Morocco's youth ranks from under-15 to under-23 level, and was part of the squad that won the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations at under-23 level. He also won the UNAF Under-17 Tournament in 2018.
