Aleksandr Siljanov

Siljanov came through the CSKA Moscow academy before switching to Lokomotiv in 2019, a move made without a transfer fee changing hands. Rather than an immediate step into the first team, he spent two seasons out on the farm side, Lokomotiv-Kazanka, in the Second League, where he made 17 appearances and scored twice. He made his senior debut for Lokomotiv in December 2020, though regular football took longer to arrive.

A loan to Rostov for the 2022/23 season proved the turning point. He made 42 appearances there and scored twice, and while the loan carried an option to buy, it was not exercised, and he returned to Lokomotiv in the summer of 2023. Back in Moscow, his form in the 2023/24 season earned him a place in the League's list of 33 best players.

He has since become one of the more experienced figures in the Lokomotiv side, with over a hundred appearances and eight goals for the club. He has yet to win the Premier League title with Lokomotiv, though the club took bronze in 2025/26. He also featured in two lost Russian Super Cup finals, the first a heavy defeat to Zenit, the more recent one going to penalties against CSKA.

Siljanov has also been capped by Russia. His goal against Cuba in November 2023, in an 8-0 win, was part of a match in which eight different Russian players found the net, a feat entered into the Russian Book of Records.
