About the player
Evgeni Morozov came through Lokomotiv Moscow's academy, joining the youth system in 2012 and signing his first professional contract with the club in February 2019. Rather than being fast-tracked into the first team, he was sent out to develop: three seasons with Lokomotiv-Kazanka, the club's farm side, where he scored four goals in 21 matches, followed by a loan spell at Volgar in the second half of the 2021/22 season that yielded two goals in ten appearances.
He returned to Lokomotiv in June 2023. He made his debut for Lokomotiv's first team in the 2023/24 season, several years after first arriving at the academy.
He was called up to the Russia national team and made his senior debut in 2024. His clearest moment in the shirt came on 15 November 2024, in a friendly against Brunei that Russia won 3-0 — Morozov got on the scoresheet in that match. By June 2025 he had earned ten caps for the senior side.
He has yet to add a major trophy or individual award to his career.
