About the player
Aleksandr Rudenko made his debut for Spartak-2 Moscow at 17 years and 118 days, one of the youngest players to appear for the club, and went on to score 25 goals in 107 appearances there between 2016 and 2019. The 2019/20 season marked his breakthrough: he scored 13 goals for Spartak-2, sharing the FNL Top Scorer title with Ivan Sergeev and being named the division's Best Young Player, before a loan move to Torpedo Moscow in December 2019 added two more appearances and a goal ahead of the season's suspension.
A loan at Sochi followed in 2020, yielding two goals in 20 appearances, and a brief return to Spartak-2 in 2021 brought three further matches. In February 2022, Rudenko signed for Khimki as a free agent. He scored 25 goals in 96 league appearances and played a key role as the club won the First League in 2023/24, securing promotion.
With Khimki's dissolution, Rudenko joined Lokomotiv Moscow on a free transfer, announced in June 2025 and running until the summer of 2028. He contributed to Lokomotiv's bronze-medal finish in the Russian Premier League in the 2025/26 season.
Rudenko has represented Russia at every youth level from the U-15s up to the U-19s, and he has been considered for senior national team call-ups. Earlier in his career he was named Top Scorer of the Moscow Youth League in 2015 with 21 goals and won the Best Forward award at the Memorial V. Bubukin tournament in 2012, alongside a Russian Youth Championship title with Spartak in 2016/17.
