Andrey Yakimov

Andrey Yakimov came on at half-time in the Belarusian Super Cup against ML Vitebsk. It ended 2:2, and Neman won the penalty shoot-out 4:3. He was on the pitch from the 46th minute.

The midfielder was born in Antopol and started out at Naftan Novopolotsk in 2008. The club won the Belarusian Cup in 2008/09 and again in 2011/12. He did not play in either final, but both trophies came during his time there. With Naftan's youth side he also collected bronze medals at the Belarusian Youth Championship in 2009, 2010 and 2015.

Between his stints at Naftan he moved around. In 2010 he was loaned to Volna Pinsk in the First League and made 14 appearances. In 2013 he played for Vitebsk, where the club's supporters voted him Player of the Season. The team took bronze in the First League that year. He then went back to Naftan for another two seasons.

On 2 February 2017 he joined Neman Grodno on a free transfer. Since then he has become a regular in the side, and his contract was renewed every year through 2025. He played his 100th Premier League match for the club on 12 September 2020. Across his career he has made more than 300 official appearances and scored about 40 goals.

Yakimov has not been capped by the Belarus national team. At club level, the Super Cup gave his long spell in Grodno a trophy of its own.
