About the player
Anthony Descotte's route to first-team football ran through a loan spell abroad reshaped his career. Born in Gosselies, he came through the Standard Liège youth ranks and then Anderlecht before finishing his development at Royal Charleroi, where he made his senior debut in April 2021 and signed his first professional contract that July.
Descotte has represented Belgium at every youth level from Under-15 to Under-21, and he was part of the squad for the 2023 UEFA European Under-21 Championship. He has not yet been capped by the senior national team.
