About the player
He was named the competition's best player that season.
He made his debut for the first team in the Russian Cup against Ural in April 2024, then followed it with his Premier League debut against Krasnodar that September.
At international level, Shamonin has represented Russia at both under-19 and under-21 level, making his U21 debut in September 2023 and going on to score three goals in four caps for that side.
With Rostov's youth side he won bronze in the Youth Football League in 2023, and he was part of the senior squad that reached the final of the FONBET Russian Cup in June 2025 at Luzhniki Stadium, where Rostov lost on penalties to CSKA Moscow after a goalless draw. Shamonin was named among the squad for that final, though he did not start the match.
