About the player
Artem Petrov made his senior debut for FC Rostov on 4 August 2026 in the Russian Cup against Akron Tolyatti, keeping a clean sheet in his first outing for the first team. His Russian Premier League debut came weeks later, on 29 August 2026, against Krasnodar, a match Rostov lost 0–1.
Petrov is a product of the Rostov academy and worked his way through the system: he moved into the reserve side, Rostov-2, making his debut for them in the Russian Second League in 2025 and going on to make nine appearances there before his promotion to the senior squad in 2026. As a homegrown player, none of his moves within the club have involved a transfer fee.
At international level, he represented Russia's under-17 side between 2024 and 2025, and has not yet featured for any senior national team.
