Bartosz Kapustka

Bartosz Kapustka scored on his debut for Poland, against Gibraltar in a Euro 2016 qualifier in September 2015. The switch to Leicester City came after he had been named Polish Newcomer of the Year and won the Ekstraklasa's Young Player of the Season award at Cracovia, where he had made his senior debut as a teenager in 2012. He was part of the Poland squad that travelled to Euro 2016 and played in the opening match against Northern Ireland.

At Leicester the move did not work out: he made only four appearances across all competitions for the club. Loan spells followed, first at SC Freiburg in the Bundesliga, where he scored once in seven league games, then at OH Leuven, where he was more involved and scored three times in 21 matches.

Kapustka returned to Poland in August 2020, joining Legia Warszawa. He won the Ekstraklasa title in his first season at the club, then added two Polish Cups and a Polish Super Cup. He has passed 120 league appearances for Legia and scored more than 15 goals, and was named Ekstraklasa Player of the Month in February 2021 and again in August 2024.

He has earned 22 caps for Poland and scored three goals, adding to his opening strike against Gibraltar with goals against Iceland in a friendly and Kazakhstan in 2018 World Cup qualifying.
